MANAGEMENT POLICY TO ENCOURAGE THE STAFF TO PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION

The Management will encourage the Members of the Staff to go for higher degrees like Ph.D and M.Phil on the following terms and conditions:

1.Lecturers must have served in the Institution for not less than two years.
2.They have to submit an application in the Standard Proforma available in the Office.
3.Only two staff members of each Department will be eligible for higher studies (priority basis) at any given time
4.a) Those who have Registered for M.Phil will have to meet their guides only on week ends and permission will be given to Doctoral work/Meeting Ph.D Guides only on 2 week days, where lecturers can leave after finishing classes. 
b) Three copies of Registration (either to M.Phil or Ph.D) will have to be submitted to the respective Principals and Directors. They in turn will send a copy to the Management after endorsing and mentioning the kind of permission granted by them.
c) Photo copies of the Dissertations or Progress Reports have to be submitted to the respective Principals and Directors as and when submission is done to the Universities for suitable Incentives/Increments  to be given on completion of the Higher Degrees.  This will be done by the Principals in consultation with the Management.
d) Proportionate work load will be reduced – M.Phil  - 25%
                                                                       Ph.D    -  50%
TEACHING WORK LOAD WILL NOT BE REDUCED.
e) Members of the Staff who have Registered for either M.Phil/Ph.D. will have to given an undertaking on a Stamp Paper along with the surety that they will serve for the same no. of years as they availed for the completion of the Degrees.  If they fail to do so they will have to pay back as follows:
M.Phil – Rs.20,000/-
Ph.D.   – Rs.40,000/-  
5.Paper presentations at Seminars / Workshops will be encouraged.  For local presentations only the day of presentation  will be considered as OOD.  Outstation presentations will be marked as OOD for the no. of days take to travel  plus the presentation day. All the other days will be marked as C.L.  The classes missed during that period will be completed during the forthcoming week.
