The Bengaluru City University Intercollegiate Best Physique Competition for the academic year 2023-24 was held at SRN Adarsh College, marking a celebration of fitness, strength, and dedication among the student community. Inaugural function began with the welcome address by Dr. S Prashanth followed by Vande Mataram and Navkar Mantra. The event honoured Mr. Srinivasa Swamy SP, an International Bodybuilder, Joint Secretary of KABBA, National Referee of ABPF, and certified trainer of Get-Fit Asia Bangkok 2009-10, as the guest of honour. The chief guest of the event was Mr. Mohammed Sibgathulla, the Secretary, Karnataka Flag and American Football Association and the staff member of Department of Physical Education, Bengaluru City University. Along with them, the other judges of the event were K Venkatesh, National Body Builder, National Judge ABPF, office bearer KABBA and Rajesh Rao K, National Judge ABPF, office bearer of KABBA.
Under the guidance of Srinivasa K, the Physical Education Director of SRN Adarsh College the competition transformed the campus into a vibrant arena of athleticism and camaraderie. It provided a platform for students to showcase their physical fitness, dedication and hard work in sculpting their bodies. A diverse group of participants from different colleges affiliated with Bengaluru City University showcased their dedication to fitness and well-being. The competition featured various categories to ensure a comprehensive representation of participants’ physical attributes: 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 and above weight categories. The competition concluded with the announcement of winners, each of whom was recognized not only for their physical achievements but also for their commitment to leading a balanced and healthy life. The awards ceremony celebrated the participants’ dedication and hard work.
Mohammed Zubair, RJS Institute of Management Studies has won the title ‘Mr. Bengaluru City University 2023-24’. The other winners were Dhanush N, Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies who has won the title ‘Best Poser 2023-24’ and Ashith Jayanth Raj, Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce who has won the title ‘Most Muscular 2023-24’. The event, organized with meticulous planning and enthusiasm, aimed to promote a culture of physical fitness, mental well-being, and healthy competition among students. The event gave a message to the student community regarding promoting a healthy lifestyle and it served as a motivation for others to pursue physical fitness goals.
